Hello All,
Since our last update the Clearwater Lake Conservancy Board has been busy working on the 2020 priorities we shared at our June 11th Annual Meeting.

The Board thought it would be helpful to schedule Lake-owner’s update, via a Zoom conference call.  It will be scheduled for Wednesday November 11th at 7:00 pm for one hour.  We will send out a separate meeting invitation.

Items we will cover during this November 11th update call will be:

  • Treasury’s Report - By Barb Schmitz.
  • Eurasian Millfoil Treatment – Our Lake treatment happened on Oct 7th.  The cost of the treatment, net of grants, was ~ $30,000 funded from our Environmental Fund balance and donations. Thanks to all who already made donations to our Environment Fund to cover these costs!  The “ask” we made this year was for $350 (tax-deductible), with additional amounts much appreciated.
  • Lake Homeowner’s Survey Results – We received great participation on our lake management plan survey.  Attached are the results, and will be posted to our website too.
  • Managing Water Level – Working on beaver dam control and keeping our outgoing creek flowing.
  • Clearwater Forest Capital Campaign Update – The Camp is well into its Hallet Dining Hall expansion/renovation project related to their capital campaign.  With the huge value Clearwater Forest brings to all of us as lake-owners our financial support to them is important.  Link for more details - http://clearwaterforest.org/support-clearwater/capital-campaign
  • Q&A – Open up for any questions.
If you aren’t able to attend our November 11th call you can always go to the “What’s New on the Web Page” section our website - https://www.clearwaterlakemn.org/

Lake Survey  and Results

A survey was sent to all known lake owners and members in August.   The results have been tallied and the results are in.  The board set up this survey to ensure that they are focusing on the items that are important to the lake users.   The survey results show that the concerns of the board reflect the concerns of our membership.
