2022 Clearwater Lake Members volunteer at clearwater forest Camp
A call was put out for lake members interested in volunteer time for the Clearwater Forest Camp. The camp needed some help on their trail system with downed trees from the Memorial day storm. A hard working set of volunteers cleared the hiking trails and started work on the mountain bike trails. Mother nature sure left a mess!
See the Gallery for more pictures! 2022 4th of July Boat parade
The boat parade was held on Sunday, July 3rd. After an hour postponement due to rain, the parade started about 2pm. We had 7 boats participate and they all seemed to be having a great time.
The Most Patriotic winner was the Eagle boat hosted by the Rothe family. The Most Creative award was captured by the Loon Pontoon hosted by the Schmitz family. Both winners will receive a Dairy Queen Gift Certificate and the honor of holding a traveling trophy until next years parade. Interesting note that the state bird and the national bird were are winners this year . . . Thanks to all the dock side and the floating participants. It sure is fun to share a holiday with neighbors. 2022 Annual Meeting
The annual meeting ws held at the Clearwater Forest Camp Clearwater Forest Camp dining hall on Saturday May 28. Donuts and coffee / juice was available while people from our association met live for the first time in 2 years! Nibbling on the VERY fresh tasty donuts, people explored the newly remodeled dinning hall. You could only be impressed with the wonderful job the camp has done with the historic building. A zoom session was also set up for the convenience of members that could not attend live. See the slide show and full reports on our 2022 Meeting page. 2021 FAll Update

With Covid still a concern and the Clearwater Camp in the middle of it's major construction project, the board decided that one more Zoom meeting made the most sense. And if you are interested in joining the Lake Association Board we would love to have you. Our 4th Annual 4th of July Parade was held on July 4, 2020. We had great turnout with 10 boats making the journey around our lake. This is a JUDGED EVENT and this year we had 2 categories; Patriotic and Creativity. The Patriotic Winner was the Cecil Schmidt family and the Creative Winners were the Lick/Schmitz families. Plan a head for next year to claim one of these traveling trophies for you cabin mantel! 2020 Annual Meeting, june 17, 7pm via zoom
The annual meeting was held via Zoom this year. For the most part things went smoothly and we had good turn out for this new form of meeting. Average number of signed in attendance was 48. This is an hard number to nail down, because some households signed in on multiple computers and some households had multiple generations of family on the same connection. Over all we were vary happy with the turn out. The lake association board presented multiple reports on the health of our lake including milfoil and fisheries data. Guest speaker James Johnson, a lake specialist gave a very interesting and understandable presentation on measuring and analyzing the chemical treatments for milfoil. A working document called a Lake Management Plan was presented and feedback was requested to help guide the board on lake issues. 2019 4th of July Boat Parade
Our 3rd Annual 4th of July Parade is scheduled for Saturday July 6th. Participants will meet at loon point at 1pm. The parade then works it's way around the East end of the lake, crossing over to the SW shore before turning back and finishing at the near the end of Clearwater Point Road. If you want to watch the parade just hang around your dock around 1pm and watch the progress until they float on by. There is always a great deal of cheering and fun being had by everyone. This is a JUDGED EVENT and the winner will receive a tasty prize AND a wonderful traveling trophy for bragging rights! Will our winners from last year - Patty and Ryan Moskalik and Angela and Peter Underthun retain their crown or will some new upstart dethrone them with a bigger and better boat! Maybe it will be your boat! Just to note: the parade will NOT be rescheduled it will go on as planned or be canceled if weather does not co-operate. Check out this space on July 6th if you have any doubts. RESTORATION boat PARADE, June 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM
The Clearwater Restoration project had a planned a boat parade to review the restoration projects from last year. The weather did not co-operate once again. It was overcast, cold and windy. So the event was repurposed to a caravan around the lake. We had 14 people that came to see our great progress! All projects survived the winter with flying colors. They road out the extra cold, snow and high water just fine. We have built up a lot of new soil behind our willow wattle and are even starting to see some of the promised flowering color. 2019 Annual Meeting, May 25, 2019 8:30 AM
Our annual meeting was Saturday May 26 at Clearwater Camp in the main dining hall. The breakfast social time stated at 8:30 with our meeting starting at 9:00 am. Thank you Clearwater camp for the space and the great breakfast spread. Once again, you did not disappoint. |
